Clinical Value of Coronary Computed Tomographic Angiography in Patients With Stable Angina.
نویسنده
چکیده
Over the past decades, great strides have been made to establish coronary computed tomographic (CT) angiography within the field of cardiovascular medicine. The diagnostic accuracy of CT in comparison with invasive angiography was demonstrated in numerous singleand multicenter studies. From large registry data, an understanding developed of how cardiac CT could affect therapeutic management within different clinical contexts. Most recent clinical practice guidelines support the use of cardiac CT as a primary or secondary diagnostic option for patients with stable chest pain symptoms. As a last step toward full recognition, several randomized clinical trials were conducted to investigate the effect of cardiac CT on clinical outcome in comparison with established noninvasive strategies.

The diagnostic value of computed tomographic coronary angiography in patients with acute myocardial infarction versus stable angina pectoris: a preliminary report.
BACKGROUND Computed tomographic coronary angiography (CTA) is a non-invasive alternative to conventional coronary angiography (CCA) in detecting chronic coronary artery disease (CAD). However, the value of CTA in estimating acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has not been evaluated. METHODS CTA and CCA were performed on 10 patients with non-ST-elevated AMI and 17 patients with stable angina pec...

Background: The rate of cardiovascular diseases in developing countries is approximately 60% and it is still has an increasing trend. The clinical effectiveness of aspirin in preventing cardiovascular events has been well proven. Although aspirin is an effective and inexpensive drug, its consumption is not equally beneficial for all patients. Many factors can be affective on the efficacy of ant...
متن کاملCoronary Computed Tomographic Angiography Does Not Accurately Predict the Need of Coronary Revascularization in Patients with Stable Angina
PURPOSE To evaluate the ability of coronary computed tomographic angiography (CCTA) to predict the need of coronary revascularization in symptomatic patients with stable angina who were referred to a cardiac catheterization laboratory for coronary revascularization. MATERIALS AND METHODS Pre-angiography CCTA findings were analyzed in 1846 consecutive symptomatic patients with stable angina, w...
متن کاملPerformance of the traditional age, sex, and angina typicality-based approach for estimating pretest probability of angiographically significant coronary artery disease in patients undergoing coronary computed tomographic angiography: results from the multinational coronary CT angiography evaluation for clinical outcomes: an international multicenter registry (CONFIRM).
BACKGROUND Guidelines for the management of patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) rely on the age, sex, and angina typicality-based pretest probabilities of angiographically significant CAD derived from invasive coronary angiography (guideline probabilities). Reliability of guideline probabilities has not been investigated in patients referred to noninvasive CAD testing. METHO...

Background: This study assessed the application value of 64-slice spiral computed tomography angiography (CTA) in a follow-up evaluation of patients receiving coronary stent implantation. Materials and Methods: A total of 468 patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) at our hospital between January 2013 and October 2016 were selected for this study. Coronary angiography an...
